Educational Programs
Literacy Classes
Our literacy classes focus on children from vulnerable families, adults who never went to school, and orphans who have been forgotten by society. We rely on volunteers to help teach, and on donors to support ongoing procurement of stationary, materials, and rent of facilities.
Computer Classes
Basic computer knowledge is essential in our modern environment. Our computer classes focus on equipping young people with the skills required to create and format basic documents so they can increase their chances of employment or begin their own businesses in their communities.
Block Making Training
Teaching youth valuable construction skills will increase their chances of getting employed, and the blocks made on site is sold, allowing SLIM to cover some of our running costs. We hope to expand our training facilities to include tailoring, metal fabrication, and agricultural training.
