Working with Orphans
Zambia is home to more than a million orphans! Most of them lost their parents due to HIV/AIDs and many of them are roaming the streets without a place they can call home, or a family who can give them love and take care of their physical needs. Please join SLIM in our mission to address this enormous need in our society!
Witnessing to Prisoners
Zambia’s official prison capacity is listed as 8,250. However, there are over 25,000 prisoners detained in facilities managed by Zambia Prison Services. The deplorable conditions that inmates are forced to live in cannot be described! It is our Christian duty to minister to these detainees, of whom many are juveniles. The purpose of our Prison Ministry is to share a message of hope, love, and transformation.
Going On Food Outreaches
Man shall not live by bread alone… However, food is a daily requirement for healthy living. SLIM’s feeding outreaches address the physical and nutritional needs of communities by providing balanced meals for those most in need.
Helping with Sport Evangelism
SLIM is actively involved with outreaches into the urban and rural areas of Zambia where we minister to communities and youth with activities that develop their physical bodies. During these outreaches we provide opportunities for people to receive eternal salvation while we share the message of God’s saving grace.
Participating in Church Planting
In obedience to the last command of our Lord Jesus Christ, SLIM ventures out to unreached areas to proclaim the gospel, disciple new believers, and help establish new churches and train the leaders. Communities need spiritual feeding as much as they need physical nourishment, our Church Planting Ministry focuses on addresses both needs.
